Privacy Policy
Tenzing matches mentees with mentors by skill, industry, and availability. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to control it.
1. Information we collect
When you use Tenzing we collect: your name and email address; an optional profile photo; the profile details you provide (role as mentor or mentee, bio, location city, skills, industries, and time availability); your connections, expressed interests, ratings and reviews; goals you create; messages and voice notes you exchange with connections; your device push notification token; and limited device information used for security and abuse prevention. If you watch or interact with ads, our advertising partner may process your device's advertising identifier. We do not collect contact lists, precise GPS location, or browsing history.
2. How we use information
We use your information to operate Tenzing: to compute mentor/mentee matches, deliver messages and notifications, surface ratings and reviews, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3. How we share information
We share data with vendors only to run the service: Convex, our U.S.-hosted backend provider, stores app data on our behalf; our email provider (Resend) receives your email address to deliver verification codes and transactional email; Google AdMob serves ads in the free tier and may process your advertising identifier subject to Google's privacy policy; RevenueCat processes subscription status for premium memberships (payment details are handled by Google Play / Apple and never reach our servers); and Apple/Google push services deliver notifications. We may also disclose information when required by law.
4. Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account from Profile -> Settings -> Delete account, which permanently removes your profile, connections, messages, goals, and ratings from our production systems. You can also email 10zingapp@gmail.com to request deletion.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored with a SOC 2-compliant backend provider. Access to production data is restricted to the small team operating the service.
6. Children
Tenzing is a professional networking service for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
